A partnership of two artists, our roots are based in New York City, with  Bachelors of Fine
Arts and Design from prestigious Pratt Institute. Following this course of study, we have 20
years of experience in graphic design and illustration for clients in New York, working
primarily in watercolor and pencil. With the advent of machine embroidery and a lifelong love
of sewing, two pursuits became one when we realized the potential for creating a work of art
in thread!

Every design starts as an original drawing--
you will never find clip art designs here. The
drawings are scanned and digitized solely and painstakingly by hand. From there, each
design is carefully monitored during stitching to assure correct density, proper placement of
jump stitches, elimination of gaps, and assure trouble-free stitching. It’s not unusual for us
to
use a magnifying glass at this point! Finally, every design is artistically evaluated for its
own merits and for possible inclusion in a collection. Collections are added slowly as they
are approved, to insure that only our best efforts will ever be produced for sale.

Thanks to the tremendous response from the embroidery community, we have now grown
to an office presently operating near Boston. We have appeared in such publications as
Creative Machine Embroidery and Designs in Machine Embroidery. At San Francisco Stitch
Co., we are dedicated to creating the highest quality and most unique designs. But it’s not
enough to be the best— we pledge to be responsive to our customers technical questions
and needs— our commitment to you is from the moment of purchase until your project is
complete.

We stand behind our work.

Our best wishes to you in all of your creative pursuits.
Your friends at San Francisco Stitch Co.
